Led by ABEV, this regional biomethane project brings together 50 farming businesses who were keen to diversify their income streams and jointly invest in effluent management. The plant processes 100,000 tonnes of agricultural waste, primarily effluents (manure and liquid manure) and vegetable matter produced by the farming businesses involved in the project. The biogas produced is subsequently reused, with 800 Nm³ CH₄/h injected into the GRDF network.
