Methavie is a regional project that brings together 19 agricultural businesses, two farming cooperatives (CAVAC and AGRIAL), industrial dairy Bonilait and the semi-public company Vendée Energie. An innovative flagship project in the Vendée department, it has injected 270 Nm³ CH₄/h and produced 2,800 tonnes of liquid biogenic CO₂ per year since 2022. The plant processes 34,000 tonnes of manure, cereal offal and diethyl ether every year. It consists of two reception tanks for liquid feedstock, two digesters and two post-digesters, as well as storage for liquid digestate. The feedstock is prepared for the digestion process in a Fleximix system developed by Naskeo.
