Obernai Agricultural College has built an on-site biomethane plant that enables it to recycle 10,000 tonnes of material produced by the school (cafeteria waste, manure from the college’s farm, agricultural co-products). The biogas generated is converted into electricity and heat by a 265 kW cogenerator.
