KEON is designing and financing a biomethane plant in the Gien commune in the Loiret department. The plant will be able to handle 28,500 tonnes of the region’s agricultural waste and biowaste, producing 250 Nm³ CH₄/h that will be injected into the GRDF network. The digestate produced will be used by partner farms as a substitute for conventional fertiliser.
